Every winter, the Volvo Group makes a series of donations on behalf of all employees to projects and organizations around the world. The aim is to make a difference, improve quality of life and provide opportunities for people who really need it. This initiative, founded in 2016, is known as the Volvo Group Seasonal Gift.

The projects are selected by a committee of employee representatives and members of the Executive Board along with Volvo Group President and CEO, Martin Lundstedt.

This year the Volvo Group Seasonal Gift was awarded to the following projects:

  • France: E-enfance
  • South Africa: VGSA Youth Development Internship
  • South Korea:  Youth Unplugged Workshop
  • Australia: Dolly's Dream
  • China: The Echo Project
  • Morocco: Balanced Minds, Bright Futures
  • United Kingdom: North Lanarkshire Council 'No Limits' Program
  • Indonesia: "Healthy Me” Wellbeing Workshops Program
  • Lithuania: Chat for support online. You are not alone."
  • Czech Republic: Elin.ai Youth Digital Resilience Initiative
  • Mexico: Skills of today’s digital world
  • India: Youth Development: Mental Health Promotion (MHP) among youth.
  • Spain: #Rayadas
  • Brazil: Solidarity Foundation (Fundação Solidariedade): shelter and housing for children and teenagers in social risk situation.

“In particular, we hope to support initiatives that address the unique pressures youth face online. Social media, online learning, and digital interaction offer valuable opportunities but can also create stress and disrupt mental well-being. Young people benefit from learning how to balance online engagement with offline activities, develop critical thinking skills, and build resilience against pressures like cyberbullying and social isolation. This year’s seasonal gift aims to empower youth not only to navigate digital challenges but also to thrive in their personal, educational, and social lives,” says Johan Reiman, Director Societal Engagement.

To decide which organizations, receive the Seasonal Gift, a theme is chosen – one which addresses the challenges that currently affect society. Projects that tackle these challenges are eligible for the Seasonal Gift and nominated by country: those which are deemed most suitable then receive a donation.
