Every connected Volvo vehicle transmits a continuous stream of data to the cloud. This data holds a lot of valuable information for fleet managers who wish to know how their fleet of trucks or buses are doing on the road. Providing this data can create a lot of value for their businesses. The team are continuously improving the way they do data analysis to be able to deliver new reports and functions to their customers to meet their business needs.
A cornerstone for all services
In addition to offering valuable information in the fuel and energy efficiency report of vehicles on the road, the team are responsible for developing and maintaining "the report engine" of Volvo Connect, a fleet management system and gateway to the vehicles’ digital services.

Therefore, the team works closely with other service teams at Volvo Group Connected Solutions to improve the reports that enable their services too. They also keep weekly contact with their stakeholders at Volvo Trucks, Volvo Buses, and Renault Trucks.

The output of the system consists of both standard reports and custom reports to fit the needs of different markets. Tailor-made reports for each customer will become increasingly important and create value for business.
Data to make a difference
Today, customers using Volvo Connect can select attributes in their reports to include the most relevant information for their teams. It’s important to pick the right data to create easily digestible reports that can facilitate decision-making. Accessing the right data is also a chance to improve route planning and driver behavior to make a difference for the environment. By helping vehicle owners to keep track of their fuel consumption, the team offers them insights into what changes to make to provide a more sustainable transport operation.
