Renault VI purchases a 10% stake in Mack Trucks, Inc.

Mack Trucks, Inc. becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Renault VI

AB Volvo purchases Renault VI and acquires Mack Trucks, Inc.
2004
Assembled the first Volvo engines for North America, beginning with the Volvo D12, and began a $150M transformation.
2005
Introduced the new Volvo Group global heavy-duty engine platform, starting with the Mack MP7.
2006
Opened a $40M state-of-the-art Engine Development Lab.
2007
Assembled the new 13L for Mack and Volvo applications, began grooming the Volvo I-Shift automated manual transmission (AMT), and assembled the final legacy engine.
2008
Began production of the MP10 for Mack and Volvo D13 for Prevost.
2010
Began grooming the Mack mDrive AMT.
2011
Celebrated 50 years of developing and manufacturing powertrains.
2012
Became Volvo Group Trucks and began full assembly of the AMT.
2013
Opened an onsite Medical Center & Pharmacy.
2014
Became the North American Core Processing hub for Volvo Group brands.
2015
Introduced a new, lean engine assembly line, invested in crankshaft machining operation, started production of Mack axles, and activated a parking lot solar canopy.
2016
Activated a ground-mounted solar field.
2017
Opened the Mack & Volvo Trucks Training Academy.
2019
Announced $43M investment in a new gear and shaft machining operation and assembled the final Mack(T300) Maxitorque transmission at year-end.
2020
Started assembly of the modular power box and other electromobility components for Mack and Volvo electric vehicles.
